I am looking for an easy to implement WMS javascript interface to GMap2. I want to show how a Gmap client can interoperate with a CubeWerx environment, initially as WMS but ultimately WFS as well.

I have found many references but some are old and I’m having a lot of trouble getting them to work. So can you point me to the most current and greatest version?

Cheers,

You’ll have to be more specific. What do you mean by local custom map service?

I’ll write more about it and put up the pages I’ve been working on when I have the time at the end of the month.

I have thought about GMap as a fully functional WFS. It seems possible as long as there aren’t too many points. I wish I could accept more jobs, but I will be pretty busy working for Amazon this summer.

Seems like GMapType is the place to start, but the methods aren’t very well documented.

You ever thought of using GMap to host a fully functional WFS (read, write, edit, etc)? I saw that you got WFS/read to work. I’m looking for a map client that can generate the full GML write/edit request. Want a job doing that?
