Google Maps API Video Demo #1
For those interested in some of the things you can do with the Google Maps API, here’s a demo of one of the things I did this summer. It requires flash. Sorry for the bad audio. I need a better microphone.
This morning I was playing with the trial version of Camtasia Studios which is a really nice multmedia capturing tool for computer presentations and software demos. I’m considering buying it, but its pretty expensive. That’s what I produced this video with.

That’s a very nice demo, but I must confess to being very ignorant of HTML. I built my web site from Front Page, and I want to add a Google Map feature on my site for clients who want to see the location of a particular rental before they book….I have tried pasting the example from Google into the HTML, but I keep getting an error saying that the key is for another web site. If I had a workable HTML code that would get me a basic map, I could probably learn enough to do the add-ons. How do I get my map to work? Could you give me a “walk through” on how to get going in the right direction? Any help you could give me would be appreciated!
