#3 for West Side Story on MSN
June 18th, 2005Well… what do you know, as of today, my West Side Story photos come up number three in MSN’s Search for “west side story”. Awsome, but not really, cause there aren’t really any good pictures there.

If you google “short messaging system” for images, my contact information image appears as number 8 as of today. What? How does that happen?
I was reading a nifty humor site some of my friends and their friends write for called shadypenguin.com. When I read the donate page I noticed this little blurb:
“But one thing we won’t do is put up ads; we refuse. We won’t sink to that level, that’s a promise. Not ever.”
Liars! What do I see on the right side of the page? None other than Google ads. I shoot them an email letting them know about their little contradiction. After a little while, they write this article about the whole situation.
“The sellout was identified by University of Michigan student Kyle Mulka, who pointed out Hornshaw’s hypocrisy about 14 seconds after Google ads appeared on SHADYPENGUIN.COM.”
Well… at least you admit to it, but come on, at least update your FAQ, cause I know you aren’t going to take down the ads.
Robots are soon to come in swarms. It is ironic that the name of the company is iRobot, almost the same name as a movie not long ago depicting thousands of robots rebeling against humans.
Can you see where I’m going with this, or no?
Jeremy31337: The point is that you want a web application that runs like a native one without actually being one
Jeremy31337: And you want to have it be integrated into the website and not look separate, like Java has to be.
Jeremy31337: Because of the virtual machine.
Jeremy31337: It can’t interact with the actual webpage for most things, without severe restrictions.
Linux…. Unix… what’s the difference? Well, until now one of the percieved differences was that Linux was free and open source, and versions of Unix were not. A major version of Unix, Solaris 10, was open sourced just yesterday, and as of earlier this year has been free and, has been available for x86 platforms. What does this mean? Well… all you Linux lovers have almost no excuse not to try it out. And, people looking for a very stable server have a good free solution. With this kind of competition, how will Microsoft stay in the server and possibly desktop market? Well… one way might be to hire the founder of Gentoo Linux.
This link is here for two reasons. One, because I like Software Engineering. Two, because I like Wikipedia. Simple as that.
Call a number, give a one minute speach over the phone, and get it broadcasted over a loud speaker. That’s what One Free Minute is all about. Hmm… what shall I say. BTW, its completely annonymous.
