Ok, so Google seems to be confused as to where the online grocery stores serving Ann Arbor actually are, so I’m going to list them here in hopes that Google will find this page and at least put them somewhere in the top 10 results.

My theory about why most of these online grocery delivery companies go out of business, is that they were run by students who then graduated to find real jobs. Groceries is a very low margin business and hence difficult to make successful. You have to charge a healthy markup to make money, but if your markup is too high, students won’t buy from you. Also, I believe a lot of grocery delivery companies have problems with the usability of their websites.

Microsoft has announced that Bill Gates will, over the course of the next two years, be stepping down from the day to day operations of Microsoft. He plans to devote more of his time to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

So, I think I figured out why the one side of my laptop is falling apart, the screw coming undone and my monitor wouldn’t stay up. Basically, I think the other side of my screen completely broke off of the base and was only being held on by the other side. It just couldn’t take the pressure, so decided to start unscrewing itself… awsome. So, there are two connections between the monitor and the rest of the laptop. One is completely broken and the other is barely intact. Just thought I would share.

I just did a bunch of internet research, as I like to call it, on a whole varity of calendaring programs. Clients, Servers, Javascript, AJAX, Outlook, iCal, Mozilla Calendar, Publish/Subscribe, etc. So, if you are into that kind of thing check this list out. The top few are the ones that excited me the most.

I’ve figured out how to overlay the roads from Google Maps’ hybrid mode onto my custom maps using the WMS standard and mapserver with a few hacks to the Google Maps API. Check it out here:
